Runner up is Purple Rain.

People saying Born in the USA are crazy. That's even Bruce's best album.

Born in the USA was like his dorky album. The best album of all time is Born to Run.

Thank you. I was so confused by this!

If you're a musician and understand how Born to Run was written - it truly is a masterpiece. And if you know "Greetings" and "The Wild, The Innocent and E Street Shuffle" - you have to recognize what a remarkable albeit untrained musician Springsteen is.

And his performances still today are amazing.

I have such difficulty separating Michael Jackson the musical and creative genius from Michael Jackson the pedofile. I really do.

Nas, Illmatic
The Stone Roses, The Stone Roses

I took a History of Rock and Roll in college, and our professor said Pet Sounds is the best album of all time, hands down. The music was apparently way ahead of its time. Genius, apparently.
(I myself am not a Beach Boys fan).

Sorry, but I’m with the PP who suggested Achtung Baby. Better songs consistently AND more groundbreaking.

Me too. I cannot listen to his music. I don’t understand why he still gets constant airplay.

The songs from Achtung Baby are great. No doubt.

But the Joshua Tree album as a listening experience is just amazing. IMO best of all time.

+1 Fast Car is right up there with Thunder Road.

Agree and Thunder Road is my favorite song.

Yes! Easily my favorite Beastie Boys album! Excellent from start to finish. Honestly a bit surprised to see it listed here.

George Michael - Faith

Came here to say Disintegration. Glad to see it was already mentioned.
