Hillsdale. Christendom. Patrick Henry. Thomas More. Thomas Aquinas. John Paul the Great. Baylor. Anyplace central to a deeply red state. But there are as many different kinds of conservatism as there are of liberalism, so painting with this broad a brush is only of limited use.

In my experience, I hear no shortage of opinions from conservative students. I am always puzzled when they say that they do not feel free to speak up, but I suspect that it varies from school to school. One thing that _all_ college students do need to learn, however, is how to disagree in a civil and constructive way, backed by evidence, so that they can learn from each other. No matter what side of the aisle they are on, they all always bristle at being corrected on that fundamental issue.

BYU is also very conservative even if you are not of the Mormon faith.

And unlike many of the schools listed (looking at you Liberty University and Bob Jones University), a degree from BYU is actually worth something in the workforce.

We don't hire anyone from Liberty, Norfolk State, BJU, The Baptist College of FL, Cedarville U, College, and a few others.

There is a spectrum of what is considered “conservative” and it has get a lot wider during the MAGA period. Fiscal conservatives inhabit many campuses which are considered liberal. They are particularly prevalent at top business schools like Wharton (UPenn), Stern (NYU), Babson, etc.

Well, blatant discrimination is illegal, immoral and unethical.

but not against Christianity as practiced by any of those colleges, so there's that.

Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, and LSU (I actually know people all over the spectrum at most of these schools, yet they still lean more conservative in culture, in my experience)

The University of Chicago
The rest are mostly in the South — e.g., SMU, many Southern flagships

A Southern flagship if they’re richer but a lower-tier state school or private school in the south if they’re not

Isn’t “conservative” liberal arts college an oxymoron?

Sort of like “jumbo” shrimp.

The work liberal when used in reference to liberal arts is not a political designation.

Never said it does. It refers to a way of thinking that doesn’t rhyme with conservative.

Incredibly unimpressive. Embarrassingly so.

So why does your organization still hire/select them?

+1 I don’t believe PP for a minute

It's a program. We are basically paid to take Hillsdale interns. And my company likes free help, even if it's lousy.
