Yup. Look at all of those private schools looking at going virtual now.

Yep, private schools doing surveillance testing, and going virtual over 30 asymptomatic cases. Don't let that be APS! Don't sign up for surveillance testing.

So, just have the 30 cases spread, let it run rampant, infect family members, and then what?

Yes, 30 ASYMPTOMATIC cases, absolutely that is MUCH better than locking healthy kids out of school.

Expecting Zero COVID in school is like expecting Zero COVID in society - absolutely impossible. Do we have 0 flu in schools? 0 colds?

As for adult family members, they've had the chance to get vaccinated for a year now. And kids less than 5 are at less risk with COVID than the flu. Are you afraid of your child riding in a car, even in a car seat with air bags (more risk than COVID)?

COVID will be here forever. Everyone will be exposed repeatedly to COVID the rest of their lives. Locking healthy kids out of schools is absurd, whereas adults in society aren't subject to such surveillance testing.

LOL - these surveillance testing nuts are Zero COVID fanatics. No mainstream scientist thinks it's possible but these fanatics (Smart Restart followers) worship at the altar of grifter Eric Feigl-Ding, who's telling his flock that eradication is possible.

Hilarious they think we should be surveillance testing a bunch of healthy young kids who were at statistically 0 risk of death from COVID pre-vaccine.

Wait wait. Isn't Eric Feingl Ding the guy who snuck off to Europe so his kid could go to real school all last year all while ferociously advocating for our schools to remain closed, apparently indefinitely?

Yes, he is from Smart Restart too. Who is pushing surveillance testing too right now? Smart Restart. Who advocated last year vocally for closed schools? Smart Restart.

If Smart Restart it is pushing it, it involves healthy kids being locked out of school

And if someone is pushing or screaming against any mitigation efforts, you can bet your bottom dollar they are in APE.

OP and supporters of OP, y'all need some serious self-reflection and help if you are this angry about a family choosing to have their own kids tested. Seriously.

I was in APE for a bit when I wanted schools to open but left when I realized that they oppose safety measures. The people left in APE now are the radical fringe who oppose basic Covid safety measures even though those safety measures keep schools open.

Ha, good point. APS is getting free advertising for this! Let's keep talking about all the tragedies expected from the convenient, free, voluntary, opt-in weekly testing program that affects no one else and has not negatively impacted anyone is nearly four months.

Schools are open in Europe and many places in the US, including Florida (which now has the lowest cases per capita in the US), without none of these "mitigation" methods.

These mitigation methods will soon go into the trash heap of history. Bring on Youngkin.

The Arlington libraries had free home covid tests kits stocked for about three hours yesterday before they ran out. Free testing through the schools doesn’t seem bad as long as you can abide with the consequences of keeping your kid gone if the eye get infected. Seems like a small price to pay but some parents want to send infected kids to school I guess.

I know I know! “When kids have the flu but are asymptomatic they come to school too.” I mean the flu didn’t kill 600K people this year or millions worldwide but go off.

Wow. So much stupid. Youngkin is not getting rid of masks, testing, or quarantines.

It was 800K people, the average age of death being greater than life expectancy and 1/3 of the deaths being nursing home residents. In New York, more people died above age 100 than those 35 or under.

No elderly person can ever die again! Let's stop all deaths.

The best part is that there are vaccines now. And boosters. But kids need to pay the price by being locked out of school for the theory it will keep a nursing home resident alive 1 more month. What a selfish child!

Huh? No one has been locked out of school by a convenient, free, voluntary, opt-in testing program.

Do you know how bad things are in Europe right now or do you just not care?

And how many people got sick or died in Florida? No thanks.
