| And named him “Cardinal.” Almost as bad as Raddix. |
|
Diaz, 51, said: "We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden," the couple shared in a joint Instagram post.
"He is awesome and We are all so happy he is here! For the kids safety and privacy we won’t be posting any pictures- but he’s a really cute. We are feeling so blessed and grateful. Sending much love from our fam to yours. Best wishes and Good Afternoon!!" Article: https://www.today.com/parents/cameron-diaz-benji-madden-baby-rcna144762 |
Keep in mind, in Hollywood, in her circles, these kinds of names are fine. |
| 50 is the new 30 |
| Happy for them. |
| God bless |
Oh hell no! I’m 54, very fit and active. I have an 18-year old and 16-year one and would not want a baby/toddler at my age. Being a close to 70-year old mom at your kid’s high school graduation doesn’t sound appealing. |
| It doesn't matter that they're 50. They're multimillionaires. Surely they have nannies to do all the heavy lifting. |
Exactly. They hire a uterus to grow the baby. They hire nannies and household to raise the baby and do the child related tasks. They can pop in and hold or feed or play or engage if and when they want to. It is pretty stress free parenting. They aren't getting up at night, they aren't juggling multiple roles, they aren't feeling the weight of responsibility. |
| I think Cardinal is a nice name. |
| Nanny or no nanny, 51 is old to take care of a newborn. Read the tween/teen forum if you don’t agree. |

"It's totally opened up. I'm excited. I've got 50 or 60 years to go — I want to live to be 110, since I've got a young child. I think you have this amazing moment in your 40s where you appreciate who your parents are, and I want to have that moment with her — be there with her in her 40s," Diaz said.
Hell of a plan, Cameron. |
| Disgusting and Godless. |
| I can never understand why rich people (of all people) can’t figure out how to have kids in their 30s. She had the money then to hire a surrogate. It makes not sense to put this off until the last minute. It’s not fair to the kids at all and we should not normalize this. |
I guess like anyone else, they want the love story. I think things are changing because there are just way too many garbage men out there. By the time you hit 30, the good ones have married. Probably women in their 30s or younger will start to use sperm donors more and more and not wait, as attitudes and norms are changing. Way better to be like 50 when all your kids turn 18. You still have so much life to live, and it can be your own, not totally in the devotion of someone else. If you'd wind up divorced or someone who doesn't do their fair share anyway, seems like this is a better option. At least you are young and have the energy. |
