Where’s the book set? Could you do something relevant to the book?

I thought this was a great thread about favorite party foods. While it’s not limited to appetizers, they were the preponderance of the suggestions:

The mini hot dogs wrapped in biscuits from Trader Joe's, and a jar of Grey Poupon. I serve this all the time, and it's always the first thing to get finished.

I take the wheel of brie and slice in half horizontally, put a layer of apricot jam on the bottom layer (like frosting the middle layer of a cake) or marmalade then put the top back on. Pour about 2 Tbl of cointreau or some light flavored liqueur. Sprinkle some sliced almond on top and bake at 375 until it looks gooey.
