The best are from South Carolina, Georgia, etc. but a good local choice that does the job is the Stonewall kitchen that you can get at grocery stores like Balducci, gift, shops, etc.

Pita crackers (or other sturdy crackers) with a little crème fresh, a sprig of dill, and some smoked salmon. Great as is but you can also sprinkle with some everything bagel seasoning.

Endive apps:

Endive BLTs - take a leaf of Belgian endive, and put a halved cherry tomato, slice of cooked bacon, and some remouldade dressing on top.

Sweet & creamy - take a leaf of Belgian endive, and put a dollop of goat cheese, a candied nut, and a dollop of honey on top.

I like the Stonewall Kitchen brand.

Also the “best” version of this app is a brick of cream cheese, ritz crackers and pepper jelly

I have a costco amount of goat cheese - can that be substituted for cream cheese in these apps?

It (the goat cheese) is actually what you're supposed to use in the endive one.
