Looking for inspiration of great places to hang out (around other people - locals and/or tourists) rather than in an isolated cabin type situation.
I love doing this in Paris, San Diego, Stockholm, Copenhagen, but looking for new places to visit. Have you been anyway you just love being and hanging out? Looking to travel to either Asia, Europe, or North America. Thank you |

Internationally, I love both Vienna and Tokyo for this purpose. Vienna is small-ish and wonderfully walkable for shopping, little cafes, people watching, etc. Tokyo for me is this great combination of hustle and bustle and quiet temples and green spaces when you need a break from busy. And the food is amazing.
Domestically, I really like Providence, RI. I know that may sound totally random. |
| Most cities in Spain are like this. I especially liked Córdoba, Seville, and Valencia. |
| New Orleans |
| Carmel-by-the-Sea, Hong Kong, Bergen, Toulouse... really any European City (other than the too-touristy ones?) |
| Taipei |
| Tallinn |

Basically any city I’ve been to?
Ones that haven’t been mentioned before: Buenos Aires Dublin Moscow (a little difficult/impossible to get to these days…) Krakow Madrid HCMC |
What the hell is hcmc? Why can’t people spell out something that no one would know? |
| Ho Chi Minh City I assume |
A lot of people know. Just because you don’t… |

Porto
Prague Buenos Aires Positano |
Ugh Dublin sucks. |
I don’t think hcmc is on people’s radar. Just because you think so… |
