I like a good squeeze, but as only part of the hug. Like a hold-hug, then a tight squeeze and back to hold for a beat and it's over. Like it communicates hold: "love you"; squeeze: "mean it"; hold: "fin".

What? I'm not big on anyone but my DH hugging me. I like it when he gives me little squeezes while hugging. But clearly this kind of preference is unique to the individual.

Depends on the reason for the hug.

But I don't like a hug that tips my head back awkwardly. (DH is tall and this sometimes happens. I have to turn head to the side so as to not smother. I'm 5'8" so not an issue with some men.....)
