The players they can first before dropping the bomb. Be ready.

Some parents will get the NL offer and quickly find they are now RL.

Got my popcorn ready for this.

This dynamic -- upset parents -- is why the change SOME believe will happen won't. Sure, they'll be some moves with the "flexibility" offered, but all this NL to RL is cruel thinking by a few. Part of the business is to not wholly upset your customer base.

That is why ECNL lets each team have a roster of 30 players. Parents will either move to another club or move to RL. This is very typical in ECNL. I have seen it many times.

The ECNL team cares more about winning than making mediocre players happy.

Most ECNL clubs in my experience care about making money if they win that’s just a bonus. So if they can sell parents/players on of of their 30 ECNL roster spots and now have a solidified RL platform to ship some of those players down to once their check clears that’s all the better to them.

Not all ECNL teams have a RL team especially a competitive one.

ECNL team will not cut anybody. But once ECNL allows certain Q3/Q4 players to play down, they will be added to the roster. I am preparing myself for 25 players roster. The club will make a killing in revenue.

If ECNL were allowing Q3/Q4 players to play down for 25/26, we’d know about it by now.

You will.

Please enlighten us to where this info is coming from that ecnl has a transition plan. Every sign leads to the change happening in 26/27. The biggest sign is that they tabled the discussion in a podcast way back and said can we not talk about this anymore. Are some of you so desperate that you are holding out hope that ecnl will tell all the regions that already formed teams for 25/26, sorry now we will inform you that trapped players are allowed for 25/26 and the advantage is now for the clubs/regions that still haven’t formed their rosters? Commons sense…

I don't think so. They'll be swimming in toxicity over playing time. It doesn't make sense. People were complaining about the lost trap seasons. What do you think will happen in this situation?

If ECNL were going to have everything stay exactly the same in 25/26 - and you need to wait until 26/27 for any changes - you'd know about it by now.

What is the percent of ECNL teams that have already formed teams? Doubt it is very high

US Club made the announcement…NO changes until 26/27. ECNL should have come out with a statement confirming that, but they haven’t. It doesn’t mean they are actually making changes.

The whole "formed teams" idea is a fallacy anyway. It's something parents want to believe so they know what they're getting for their money. But it's not really soccer. Soccer is battling for your place in the squad at all times.

And we do know this already. Entire regions have completed tryouts based on no changes.

Except players they want to recruit may still have a commitment to a different club until later in the spring/early summer. Not so easy to switch even if it's a different league (although technically possible, it's not super realistic unless a family overplays their kid and/or makes their entire world revolve around soccer)

ECNL does not have to come out with a repetitive statement if US Club has already clearly specified no change for next year. ECNL clubs are proceeding with business as usual.

"clearly specified no change for next year"

Let's read what US Club Soccer actually announced.

It announced that it agree to adopt the 9/1 to 8/31 cutoffs beginning in 26/27

It also announced that it is "working quickly to provide guidance and resources ... on the implementation of of this decision."

Do these two statements mean "nothing changes until 26/27" - or does it mean there will be transitionary rules? We'll see.
