The players they can first before dropping the bomb. Be ready.

Some parents will get the NL offer and quickly find they are now RL.

Got my popcorn ready for this.

This dynamic -- upset parents -- is why the change SOME believe will happen won't. Sure, they'll be some moves with the "flexibility" offered, but all this NL to RL is cruel thinking by a few. Part of the business is to not wholly upset your customer base.

That is why ECNL lets each team have a roster of 30 players. Parents will either move to another club or move to RL. This is very typical in ECNL. I have seen it many times.

The ECNL team cares more about winning than making mediocre players happy.

That's the heart of it, isn't it? They recruit, not develop. And their marketing never acknowledges that all the development Star Player A had at various USYS, GA or abc club. So, their 70% of whatever their girls stat is somewhat hollow OR would be better served if it credited all the clubs that helped Star Player A in her journey.

I think the people who are hoping for changes in 25/26 are going to be grossly disappointed

It is getting a little crazy that there is no response at all from the leagues.

Why would they make a statement if they’re not making a change.

“Hey everyone…ugh…we’re still doing our thing…thanks for reading….”

That’s exactly what they should say? Regardless of how they feel about decisions made by us soccer they should say what they plan on doing.

Depends on how much they are hoping for? If ECNL gives clubs any kind of flexibility with roster age changes that would be considered a win. My point don’t have high hopes and be happy with what you get.
