Do you think women care about height and money more than men? I have heard women proudly and openly say a want a man at least 6’0 and who makes at least 100k (I am being generous here more like $180k to be honest). Why do women care so much more about height and money compared to men?

I’m 6’1 and honestly I don’t understand women’s obsession with height. My friends who are less than 6’0 are perfectly fine. Maybe women can tell us why they obsess about height. I’ll clarify though some women not all women.

Most men don’t. Just look at the size of the women that the “hottest” guys are dating. The average woman that these guys are dating are not “thin”.

Women can be very harsh when it comes to judging other people esp other women. You won’t hear a guy say hey Jenny is dating Mike and Mike is so fat. But boy if Jenny was fat Mike’s female friend would be the first one to point out Jenny’s weight.

I am a guy and I can answer the money part. The answer is simple. Women are smart period! A woman will not get involved with a broke guy just because he is “hot”. A man on the other hand the idiot will go ahead and hand his credit card to a “hot” chick to go spend without limits.

Hmm, he was short (but taller than me) and we met as students so money wasn’t really an issue. I could see he had similar financial values for saving and basic stability.

Now I am dating again in midlife. I do care about basic financial stability - could the guy make it on his own, including looking toward retirement, without me. But by no means does he need to be rich.

Height still isn’t a major factor.

Maybe not but they do have a relatively narrow waist to hip ratio.

Most Men find fertility attractive and most women find height attractive.

I think this is a teen thing, early 20s max and a passing trend. Who else would be impressed by either of those metrics.

Are you kidding? In my teens, I did not care about money or height. I mean no one wants a complete broke guy but I didn’t care about how much money the guy had. It was his family’s money and I wasn’t looking for marriage or stability as a teen. Ironically a broke guy who lived in a tiny apartment broke my heart and I broke the heart of a guy whose parents were extremely rich who lived in a mansion with servant quarters. The poor guy was average height and the rich guy was tall, 6’3”.

As you get older, you may think about having a family and if the guy can provide you with a nice home. 180k is rock bottom of even affording to buy a home at all. If you want a decent lifestyle, I would say minimum 300k, more like 500k, definitely not the 100k in the OP.
