If you roll up on Conn Ave at exactly 9:28 you can park on the street right across from the entrance. But the buses know this too so you have to be right on time. |
More to come re: that I suppose, if/when someone is charged with the stabbing. |
https://www.wusa9.com/amp/article/news/local/virginia/nanny-charged-murder-denied-bond-brazil-passport/65-a76c7728-3e74-46e5-ad73-4ac3681ac847 This seems to suggest there had been no longstanding romantic relationship between CB and JR, which tracks with posts by his friends that stated he had met them very recently. Starkly different stories about the underlying dynamics and how it all went down that day. We got the AP's version that was spun as most favorable to her, yesterday. That is not necessarily true or even all that close to the truth. It's very different from the state's version. I don't even see how her version was all that helpful to her and BB and she has an experienced criminal attorney. He still don't have the "other side" of the case in detail. Not sure a jury will buy her timeline re: the shooting, time will tell. |

I thought law-enforcement‘s wording in the press conference when a reporter asked for clarification about the charges was interesting. they said she was charged with second-degree murder and that she fired the shot killed him. (they did not say fired all the shots or that they were other shots, but I thought the wording of fire the shot that killed him to be interesting).
If he had already been shot once by BB and was blinded, it’s very unlikely he would have been a threat! So she had time to think about further shooting him, which makes sense for second degree Murder and not manslaughter/self defense. |
Yes. But they also said BB was outside the home when AP shot JR. Trying to make sense of how that played out. |
Wait. Is a defense lawyer allowed to tell a client to get another passport after theirs has been confiscated by LE?!? |
Many parts of their story are stupid. Like, she called 911 the first time but wasn't sure what to say. Exactly -- you see a man who didn't break into your house but walked in. Still, you're immediately calling 911 and grabbing the gun.
I also wonder whether they knew anything about JR. Not sure they would've picked him if they knew he was trained in martial arts, had no criminal record, and adopted puppies. |
Good point - and the only other person who could have fired the non lethal shot would have been BB. But since he hasn’t been charged yet, it follows that they want to wring some info out of AP before charging him. |
He may well have been resistant to being a patsy and losing his life, in a way they did not anticipate. He was a goofy LARPer and kind to the elderly too! |
This seems to contradict most of what her lawyer claimed. |
BB is stupid. A man with a damaged, fragile ego will cut off his nose to spit his face. BB then eat his own damn nose. |
Ate |
LEOs are trained to shoot until the threat is stopped, not trained 'to kill.' |
BB was not charged in the murder of JR, AP was.
VA claims BB was not IN the home when JR was shot. That is the basis of the charge against AP. AP's lawyer put both AP and BB in the room when JR was killed. So if he is lying about that, or she lied to him about that, all of what he said is discredited, no? If VA is correct, what did the actual timeline look like, setting aside the story of AP. |
