DeSantis and FL moving to hammer Disney

This is hilarious! DeSantis is stupid. Florida is where woke goes to die? Apparently, business development too! Lol

DiSantis learns the true meaning of cancel culture.

Womp womp. Best part is that Disney announced they will be working with employees who already moved about moving them back. Just watch those tax dollars flee…

Can't wait to hear from the DeSantis-heads how akshully this is good for Florida (it's not)

It’s great, actually. Property values in posh ‘hoods will go down due to less competition from well qualified buyers. Local taxpayers will feel more “connected” to their government by having to pay a greater share of what it takes to keep government afloat. Wins all around!

You are hilariously misinformed.

I think your sarcasm meter needs calibration.

Fair point. I just actually don’t have one when it comes to him. I’ve seen too many people say similar things in all seriousness.

I remember this forum had a thread attacking Youngkin for trying to lure the Commanders with billions in taxpayer money.

People need to make up their minds.

DP but that is not far enough from actual GOP arguments to be clear sarcasm.

Dosney was 2000 jobs at an average salary of 120,000 - in terms of property, sales and other taxes and fees, that is billions of dollars of return to the county and state. The Comamnders have 8-10 home games per season, with a several hundred very part time/seasonal jobs. Not the same economic return.

I think a lot of other big construction and development projects will also start being canceled, now that a lot of the construction workforce is leaving the state and nowhere near enough Floridians are stepping up to take those jobs.

Sopo isn't exactly a credible source for this.

Also seems weird if Iger hates it that they’re not cancelling the California construction? Or are they?

I believe Disney. This is the first step to a shutdown during the summer.

And, why do you suppose there were "relocation" issues? Most of the staff didn't want to relocate to Florida.
