Somerset dress alternatives

I've bought and returned several versions of the Anthropologie Somerset dress- love how the cut looks on the models, specifically the neckline, waist, sleeves. It looks like it would work on my body type. I am between a size XS and S in that dress and neither feels/looks quite right. 5'6, 125 lbs., 34D or DD bust) I prefer cool colors; at times love loud prints like on some Somerset dresses or like Farm Rio, other times despise them.

Looking specifically for a trip to Paris (so not loud prints) and southern France in June. Any fav summer dress recommendations? Budget 200ish but willing to go higher if I find the perfect one!

What are you looking for? I’m not a fan personally of aommerset - the short ones look too childish like babydoll dresses, and the longer ones are overwhelming on most people in photos submitted by actual customers. Do you want a short dress or a longer dress? Do you facial features and contrast between hair and skin support strong contrast on the dress? Do you want to look hip and urban? Or is this a vacation dress only? I would stay away from that cinched waist in whatever you do - it looks bad on 90% of people.

I like this dress from AYR a lot (I have an earlier season’s color):

I just picked up some dresses at Nordstrom Rack and TJM by Max Studio and Melloday.

Similar cut to op’s links. Mix of prints and colors. Awesome price (more expensive at Nordstrom and elsewhere; great deals at Rack and TJ).

Plus: machine washable.

Lol did you even look at the dress OP was asking about? Other than being "dress", they have nothing in common.

Nothing says summer in southern France better than a black satin dress lol :0)

Floral prints and bright colors, people.

NP. I looked at the Everlane dress and wonder why do they call this a maxi dress? Shouldn’t it be longer?

If you like the Somerset dress, could you buy the S (or even the M) and have it tailored so it fits you the way you like? Sometimes that is the easiest solution.

IKR?

Not a true maxi unless you are tripping over it.

Max Studio sells for $150+ at Nordstrom, Saks, whatever but you can find them deeply discounted ($40?) at Nordstrom Rack, Off Saks, TJ Maxx, etc.

Machine washable and flattering cuts.
