I love good stories, beautiful costumes and scenery. Any ideas? |
Outlander |
Downton Abbey |
My favorite show was The Tudors, but it was almost historically accurate and it seems you dont care about historically accuracy. It was still a very very good show. |

+1 |
The 6 part series of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth as Darcy produced in 1995. Best adaptation by far IMHO!
Sanditon, based on Austen's last unfinished novel, recently on PBS was fun. I've also enjoyed the Gilded Age on HBO. Julian Fellows (Downton Abbey) wrote it. |
These are all good choices |
Wolf Hall, highly recommend

Yes, just rewatched! Sigh. |
Warrior, Deadwood |
Gilded Age has awesome costumes and good production value. |
1883 was my favorite. |
I've seen almost all of the above recs and I have to say something about North and South (not the civil war cheese fest from the 80s - but the Brit production from 2004 with Richard Armitage) was really spectacular. The love story was beautiful and the sets are gorgeous. |
