Genuinely curious. Obviously if you live in Florida, this post isn't for you. If you're in the DC area, what is your heat set to?
Ours is set to 64 (63 night). On sunny days, it'll warm up a few degrees, but it's been such a cloudy winter so sometimes I bump it to 65. |

| My apartment thermostat is highly unreliable but: mostly cold enough that I want to be wearing fleece slippers and two layers of long sleeves at all times. I grew up in a cold house in a cold area so I’m used to it. I’m a total pansy about heat so I have no judgement for those who like to be warmer. |

| My furnace has been broken for years and haven’t needed to replace it because I switched to heating with wood. I have a pre-catalytic converter wood stove insert with blower. I can heat the whole house (1200 sf) to a comfortable 70+ degrees F. The ground floor is a balmy 80 F lol |
