Is the On Demand version worth it? I've taken it in the gym and loved it but worry the experience won't be the same at home.

I have a legit question here.

I did Bodypump for about a year about a decade ago and I did lose weight and get somewhat toned. The most I ever put on the bar was maybe 30lb total? But it was part of a program that also involved a lot of running and calorie restriction.

More recently, I have gotten healthy by lifting heavy weights..increasingly heavier weights with lower reps.

I get that basically any fitness program will work if you stick with it, but why do you choose BodyBump instead of...lifting weights.

It's a pretty popular strength training class that one can find at many gyms. It's divided into different muscle groups, choreographed to music.

It depends - do you have a similar weight set at home? Are you motivated to workout and challenge yourself at home? If so, go for it! A lot of people feel more motivated by a class environment with an instructor and participants right there.

Is the enter sandman chest routine available anywhere?

What you've done sounds great! I started bodypump as a regular person, looking to get into strength training. I also lost weight and got my cardio down, but strength training was a struggle for me to get motivated about. After doing it as a regular person for a few years, I decided to get certified. I get that BP isn't for everyone, but I think it can provide a great way to increase strength/tone for people who need structure, or like an element of choreography. For me, I'd say my heaviest weight is 55lbs (squats).

But what you've found sounds like it works great for you, and big kudos on that!

You’re a jerk. Most instructors have day jobs or are SAHM.

I loved Bodypump!
I can't get to classes now but when I do my own thing at the gym I tend to do the reps just like at Bodypump. Like I don't just do reps. I do 8 counts, 4 counts, 1-3/3-1s, and longer than I want to.
