Did you gather in large groups for the holidays? A virus may be your post-holiday present.

Per CNN medical expert Dr. Leana Wen, "You could be infected and asymptomatic. You could also be pre-symptomatic, meaning that you could be contagious and could develop symptoms in the days to come. Don’t take the chance of getting someone else sick. It’s best to avoid close contact with vulnerable individuals in the week or so after your high-exposure events."

How may of you are going to self isolate?

Doesn't this happen every year since the dawn of time? Get a bunch of people together and someone will get sick with something.

I just don't get why this is a concern now.

Unbelievably tone deaf.

Just one week to flatten the curve bro, just one week, that's all we need is one week.

The data, the knowledge, the education, the ability to see-isolate (delivery apps, work from home, masks) are all NEW.

Exactly.

Is it that different than being in big meetings at work? I'm in some kind of "high exposure event" every week at this point. I am not going to isolate for the rest of my life.

Does the article say to self-isolate, or does it say not to get together with medically vulnerable people for a week? They’re not the same thing.

For shame. For shame. Can we sew a red letter "C" on their dresses?

Exactly. Sorry OP, I refuse to just exist. Life is for the living and should be embraced, that includes getting together with friends and family.
Wear a mask and stay in your bunker if life is this scary for you, but leave the rest of us alone.

Lord, give it up OP. Either that or get in your time machine back to 2020.

We were given and shared the gift of influenza. No one knew til later in the week. 🎁

The kids are back in school today, should I have kept them home?

Wtf do you expect people to do? Do you isolate for a week after going grocery shopping ?
After attending a church service? After going to work for one day? In what universe has this ever been realistic or suggested? I can’t believe this is a real question.
