Madonna tour in DC

Anyone else go last night?

It was an incredible show. But she goes on sooooo late - the show did not start until 10:40 and then its nonstop two hours of production.

To be honest, that was one of the most incredible stage productions I've ever seen. Every song has it's own set of costumes, choreography, A/V effects, etc. One of the best concerts I've seen in a looooooooooong time.

We bought last minute tix and I think there's still plenty of tickets for tonight's show. If you're on the fence, I highly recommend seeing the show. It's basically 45 years of Madonna's history.

For me, this was the real Eras Tour.

I'm going up to NY to see her with my HS friends in January. So excited!

How was the getting home after? All those Metro stations were closed.

We drove and parked at City Center for $10. It's a 5 min walk from the arena. Thousands of people streaming out and doing the same thing at 12:45 so it didn't feel sketchy.

Frankly, they've cleaned up downtown a lot. It was also bitterly cold last night, so no one was really out except people leaving the arena and local hospitality workers going home for the night.

I’d love to see her. But at 2pm not 10:40pm lol. Her audience is all old, she should cater to that.

10:40pm? Wow, for a show that's supposed to start at 8:30pm. I'm not sure what time to even show up for tonight's show.

Saw her last night too! I went in with low expectations based on some of the footage I had seen online, but Madonna looked and sounded amazing. As OP said, the stage production was great with lots of nostalgic footage of Madonna from eras gone by.

She did go on late and was unapologetic about it as is typical with Madonna, but she's worth the wait. She did not disappoint. We left at 1am just before the show ended so we wouldn't get stuck getting out of the garage, but honestly don' t love the last two songs so I don't think you're missing much if you go and sneak out a few minutes early.

Ray of Light hands down was one of the most mesmerizing concert productions I have seen outside of Eras. If you love Madonna then go! She is not slowing down and was on point the entire night.

It was the same thing in Brooklyn last week. You can see showtimes and set lists here:

She's basically playing the same set list every night without deviation due to the very complicated costume changes and stage production.

PP here--she did keep complaining that the audience seemed tired and well, we were! It was super late! if she wants a more energetic concert, she should start earlier!!

My friend went and said it was amazing!! She was exhausted as well lol.

I would love to, but she is notorious for starting late and I can't handle that.

Madonna said that she goes to bed every night at 4am. I guess she sleeps all morning.

Interesting routine. Some people are night owls.

We get it, you’re Madonna and you still got it!
Still puts on a great show. With history of her career and some of what was going on at the time, she covered a lot of ground. The sound in the arena was not great and at times show seemed a bit self-indulgent to me, especially after the looong wait and $$$$ cocktails
I felt bad for the folks who worked at the arena.

How did you get home last night? Metro closed? parking garages closed early too? That is my problem if she goes on so late and performs for 2 hours and everything is shut down.

The start of that show last not was totally unacceptable and disrespectful to her fans. Let's be honest, she is not that relevant anymore. I don't care about costume changes, themes whatever...she'd better make that her last show because I know a lot of people, myself included that would not even go to one of her shows again...not even for free! So glad I only spent $120 on that ticket!
