These are very immature, high school mean-girl questions. What makes anyone attractive to another person? What makes you attractive? Why would someone want to marry you? Why would someone have wanted to have a relationship with your mom? Or a model? Or your slightly overweight Neighbor? Or anyone? And “distinguished men”?! Ha! They’re just men; they’re just people. Its hard to believe grown educated people are this superficial. |

Lauren always annoyed me as an anchor out here in SoCal, but you can see that she is very ambitious, has lots of ideas and enthusiasm, and has executed well on some of those ideas (like helicopter flying, etc.)
Plus, she is probably always complimenting and affirming Jeff. We forget that men need this kind of affirmation and it goes a long way. Plus, she cares about looking her best. |

I also think these women are both gold-diggers and therefore willing to tell these men exactly what they want to hear. I do think there is skill involved -- I think Sanchez, in particular, has crafted her personality around making Jeff feel the way he wants to feel, which is not a small feat when you are talking about a billionaire with an enormous ego. I also think that Bezos quite clearly discovered that having a relationship with an intellectual equal who did not feel she "needed" him was less appealing, and Sanchez found that sweet spot of "I'm independent and totally my own person" and also "you're a big strong man who makes me feel safe." I do not find either of these women attractive but they may have been at some point. Their plastic surgery is disfiguring and will only look worse as it ages. However, men in these circles become so accustomed to looking at women who look like that, that I think it's normalized and they don't really even "see" the issues with it. I've been in rich person restaurants where you look around and everyone looks like a cartoon character gone wrong but I don't think they have any idea and in fact they believe they look good because they spent such copious amounts of money to achieve it. |
