I saw a car this morning with a bumper sticker that said “I will not brake for children”. I noticed the car because it was parked askew. The driver was a teen. Is the bumper sticker supposed to be funny? Less than a 1/2 mile away a pedestrian was recently killed in a crosswalk. |
Lighten up. |
My teen neighbor has one that reads ‘I love hot moms.’ Her bff put it there and she thought it was hysterical so it stays.

Can’t you take a joke? |
I love “no babies in board - feel free to rear end me” |

It is just a joke. Maybe in bad taste but does not mean the driver is a horrible teen. |
OP here. I have a younger child who walks and bikes to school so I find it offensive. I hope the driver is never the cause of an accident. It’s not a good look. |
The next funny bumper sticker you see will be the first ever. They're all stupid and mostly offensive. |
You are wound really tight, aren't you? Relax. it's a joke. |
Relax. You sound fun.
In high school I had a bumper sticker of a black widow spider and it said “I devour my lovers” or something along those lines. |
Ah, I see the problem. No one cares if you’re offended. I don’t know how, or exactly when, so many of you decided that you were entitled not to be offended; but thankfully (college campuses aside) we seem to be returning to some approximation of normalcy and common sense. |
My cousin has this one:

OP, I’m sure the driver will brake for your kid. |
OP here. I was hit by a teen driver when I was a child. I spent months in the hospital and had to be pinned back together. I have permanent scars from the accident. When you or a family member goes through something like that please let me know how funny you think it is. The slogan is in really poor taste given how much pedestrian fatalities have increased in recent years. |
