Wow, nice job Gov Youngkin

Apparently a menorah lighting was canceled in Williamsburg because the event organizers were concerned about hosting a hannakuh event during the war on Hamas terrorists. The Gov is calling them out for their nonsense.

What a bunch of cowards.

A "hannakuh" event. You don't say.

The ironic thing is that the festival organizers say they don’t want to choose sides as they choose sides. They seem too antisemitic and self righteous to realize that.

This world is getting sicker by the minute.

Why is this in this forum?

Just one more reason to love Youngkin. I wish he would run for president.

Or, they could provide state security for the event to ensure it is safe.

Bravo, Governor Youngkin. The stupidity these days is staggering. Nice to see a leader not back down to these clowns.

Canceling a menorah lighting is so messed up. They deserve to be called out.

Apparently they claim they never have religious displays at this festival. But then they say they’d consider it only if they have an Islamic display too, or if the menorah is under a banner calling for a cease fire. Ridiculous. Sounds like taking sides to me.

So they cancelled a menorah lighting that they never had? Makes sense.

Youngkin is not the only VA political figure to call this out, OP. And Youngkin has been absolutely incompetent in running the state - faulty budget tools, delayed budget… the only thing he has focused on is public appearances (usually in other states or on conservative media) and calling people out on social media. I wish he would just do the executive job he was hired for.

If it’s true that they never had a menorah or a menorah lighting then I change my mind about it being “messed up”.
