How am I supposed not not wash my hair every day if I’m supposed to shower every day?

I’ve heard that shampooing your hair every day is bad for your hair. However, I must shower every day. So, how do I shower every day without washing my hair too?

I also put a little bit of hairspray before I put in the shower cap, to help stave off the frizz. And I keep those showers shorter and not as hot as the showers where I wash my hair.

Are you really an adult who doesn’t know this? I figured this out when I was like, 10. Put your hair up and don’t get it wet.

I just stick it in a loose bun and avoid sticking my head under the water most of the time and am quick so don’t worry about the few droplets that hit my hair - I suppose if you have straight hair you could even get it wet without issue (so jealous of people who can let their hair air dry!).

I only wash my hair twice/week. Other days, I fully wet and condition it. Simple.

I’m AA with short natural hair. I cowash daily and only shampoo once or twice a week.

OP, you can make your own cowash with your favorite conditioner and some warm water.

I pull my hair up in a claw clip or scrunchie. Works well enough.
