| The shutdown is basically one big distraction while he plans to invoke the Insurrection act. They’re going to do it by the end of this week or early next and just watch, the shutdown will fade into oblivion as Congress is thrown into a tailspin over this. Then during the chaos of all of basically invading Portland and Chicago , he’ll fire tons of Feds and continue wrecking govt. It’s their flood the zone strategy so no one will know what to focus on. |
They will tell them the illegals took their healthcare. |
She’s proposing the nuclear option which Republicans don’t want to do. I do like shit that she’s making them all squirm. |
I worry, not enough people understand how far Trump is willing to go. We already have state on state conflict with Texas NG going into Illinois. We’re in a very dangerous place. Everyone thinks it’s all fun and games until it’s not. |
1. During a shutdown some people are required to work while not getting paid 2. Even people not required to work are still on the hook for daycare costs because there’s a notice period at a minimum to withdraw. |

She saw the writing on the wall, to wit, that: 1. She's been pushed out from her earlier Loyal Bootlicker prime position in Trump's orbit to the outer circle where he doesn't notice her anymore. Others have taken her place. 2. She sees that Trump's decline has accelerated since his Inauguration. Maybe he won't last his term. She's starting to hedge and position herself for a post-Trump world. There's no benefit now to expending energy on rabid and public love for the President's every opinion, but there is in inserting a few rational points into her discourse these days. |
I agree! After all, this is what they voted for. |
She has knives out for Laura Loomer. |
It's not a distraction. Literally no one is talking about it this time. Even Drudge Report is ignoring it. |
They'll stop ignoring it soon, when the military stops getting paid, when they can't go on vacation because the airlines are dysfunctional, when everything else starts grinding to a halt. |
What is in those Epstein Files?! Gotta be really bad. |
This. It's the only thing that can explain how stubborn Mike Johnson is. He's putting Democrats in a position where their only off-ramp is to cave and get nothing, which doesn't seem likely given that the majority of Americans support the Dems' position. |
| GOP is underwater by 13 points and 19 among independents according to Navigator Research. |
Doesn’t seem like they care. |
GOP is down 90 points and Dem Party is down 80 points per anyone with an IQ over 80. |
