But .. but … but …! Stomp . Stomp . Stomp.

Don’t you guys understaaaaand???? I don’t CARE about the safety of anyone else. My kids have been home for TWO WHOLE WEEKS and I’m soooo sick of dealing with them. OMG!”

Wahhh wahhh wahhh😭😭😭

You know - this whole exchange is quite unfair. There is always some parent who comes on and says they need the kids to go back to school (because it was a hectic 2 weeks, because they have to work, whatever) and always the nasty trolls that come out and lecture everyone on being a parent. On the other side, there is always a parent who is worried about ice and someone who provides a lecture on living in Alaska.

If covid has taught us nothing else, we should have learned that there are various levels of risk tolerance and various levels of need to maintain routine. Tomorrow is truly a tough call. They could go either way depending of which side of the risk line they come down on.

Too reasonable for the trolls on this forum, sadly.

Didn’t Fairfax get it worse than MOCO and MOCO is closed

Where did you hear this? Sounds plausible. Shouldn't we know by now?

Lay off the ALL CAPS, boomer

No actual boomer is on here caring about schools being in or out. I would go all-in to bet that the governor writer is parent of ES kid and way younger than any boomer (58-76). The governor writers need their own special name.

I mean if you need something to do, sure, but I think you're massively over estimating your influence here. They don't care and aren't going to override the county road authorities.

lol seriously. this is hilarious to me. The governor trusts the county to make the call people. I'm not saying I don't think it is all a little absurd but the system is bigger than we understand - I don't understand all the bussing needs and where the busses need to go etc etc I have to trust that they are doing their best and I do

No, and I’m friends with a few administrators of large secondary schools (although in this case, admin is Gatehouse). But when they want school to open they call in the grounds crews early in the morning the day before. I’ve been to 3 FCPS campuses today and none were cleared.

Why haven’t they announced it yet? JFC.

Do you predict no school then?

It’s cute that you think the governor gives a
F about you or your kid.

PP may have better luck with emailing Trump.

Thanks for the laugh!

It was a joke. There was some silly thing about boomers writing in all caps. And there's a widespread misunderstanding among the younger gen about what a boomer actually is.

So who is open and who is close? Admin wants open and board wants closed or other way around? Something is up because they are definitely waiting late in the day to call it.

They’re doing what a PP said - making it look like they are considering it hard when they know damn well they can’t open.

He’d get Michelle Reid and Donna Reed mixed up and go on a 17-minute rant about much better tv was in the 1950s.

No, and you didn’t either.

A member of my school admin just told me they’re betting on closed Wed, 2hr delay Thursday.
