Also she’s leading a Costa Rica retreat in January. To me that suggests single.

One of those videos appears to be recorded in the same place that she and Gerry met with her family on the hometown visit? Maybe it actually is her apartment or something?

I'd be tempted to go to the Costa Rica retreat if I thought I could keep up (I'm not celebrity struck or anything, I just think she would be a great retreat leader and fitness instructor and health journey inspiration).

Maybe an apartment-cum-studio. Looks very cool!

I’m pretty sure they named the place Gerry met up with Leslie’s family. It wasn’t her apartment.

How is Theresa going to put up with hearing Gerry calling her "Treesa" for the rest of her life? I'm not going to say she can do "better" because it's slim pickings out there and Gerry seems like a very nice man. But after seeing more of her last night I think she might end up finding him boring.

Leslie can definitely find someone who suits her better. I know she likes Gerry because he's a good man who makes her feel safe, but they really don't have anything in common. I think she'd be a good Bachelorette and I imagine that it will be easier casting men for her than for the other women. (Joan would be a terrible Bachelorette and I really wish she'd stop trying to make it happen). Maybe when she's the one being pursued she'll be less insecure.

I've got to say that as someone with a lot of similarities to Leslie but about fifteen years younger, I've learned a lot from watching her.

LOL, the way he says Treesa really bugs me. I also prefer Less-lee and he says Lez-lee. I think his voice is annoying.

If Leslie were picked as the first Bachelorette, I hope they would pick men who are either from her area (within 5 hrs of Minneapolis), or are willing to relocate. I know the producers don't really care if the relationship works out... but at this age (Golden Bach/ette)... the location piece is just as important as finding people of a suitable age. If Leslie isn't willing to move, and they want her as Bachelorette, they need to stay within the region.

Leslie jokes around too much about 69 and sex, I think. And I'm not a prude. It's just that she herself seems to not understand why she only gets men who want her for sex and dancing. When that is literally what she does.

Did anyone pick up on a hint of disappointment on Leslie’s face the next morning? Like she wasn’t 100 percent happy with her encounter.

Leslie strikes me as the type who prefers a more athletic throw down and Gerry’s “ nice and slow at my age” well might not have done it for her.

Whereas you know Theresa would have been enthusiastic no matter what.

I didn't, but maybe it was because she knew he was leaving and would be going on a similar date with Theresa.

That’s interesting, pp. What have you learned?

Okay. I've watched this and I think Theresa is smarter and more accomplished than Gerry and he's not right for her.

Both giggle.

OMG Laugh or cringe?!?!

Meh. I bet the producers made them say it. A friend was a producer on Joe Millionaire back in the day and still works in reality tv; he says lots of stuff that is said is pushed by the producers.

I was part of a "reality" show a few years ago and can confirm that things we said on camera were definitely suggested by the director, and their creative editing made things look different than REALity.

Yes, but these are mature adults who do not have to follow screen direction. Remember when Ellen refused to drink from the champagne bottle on the pickleball court? There was another woman who refused as well.

Are you kidding me? Do you think they cast people who don't agree that they are going to have to follow some scripting from time to time? This is big time reality tv. It's part of it.
