Both giggle.

OMG Laugh or cringe?!?!

Cringe. She flirts with him like he is a hot guy. Everything seems oversexualized.

She probably knows from experience that even old men like to think they still have game.

Why do you think they fall for obvious gold diggers (who are young, and beautiful, and bonking the pool boy)?!

Gerry seems like a guy who can chuckle at those bawdy jokes, but he doesn't really respect that in a woman that he wants to marry. Seems like he prefers someone with more tact (? not sure that is the right word). He wasn't into Saundra with her cursing. And I think there were others, like April, who were more into the dirty words. He uses more nuanced euphemisms.

Is the word you are searching for, class?

Anyone who wants to work out with Leslie, a few videos on her website.

Also she’s leading a Costa Rica retreat in January. To me that suggests single.

If Gerry's wife was a stay at home mom and he was a restaurant owner, how did he retire at 55?

It's already been posted she was not a SAHM. She had only just retired when she died.

Gerry hasn't owned restaurants since the 80's when he owned some franchises. Since then he bounced around from job to job in sales and marketing. The last company he worked for "Rock River Provisions," a restaurant meat supply company, went out of business during the Great Recession in 2010. That's when he stopped working, although his LinkedIn doesn't reflect that. https://www.linkedin.com/in/gerry-turner-44b3b318/details/experience/

His wife had just retired right before she died from a bacterial infection. Her obituary is here - she sounds like a wonderful person.

I've changed my mind after learning more about Gerry - he's not a wealthy guy and Theresa's financial acumen probably appeals to him.

He may have invested profits from the franchises and done well. His wife worked for 55 years. I think he's comfortable, but not wealthy per se. Theresa might actually be wealthy.

It’s not body shaming to question the judgement of a 70 YO to choose an outfit like that to be on TV.

One of those videos appears to be recorded in the same place that she and Gerry met with her family on the hometown visit? Maybe it actually is her apartment or something?

I'd be tempted to go to the Costa Rica retreat if I thought I could keep up (I'm not celebrity struck or anything, I just think she would be a great retreat leader and fitness instructor and health journey inspiration).

I'm big on people wearing what they want and loving their bodies, but there is such a thing as judgment when it comes what to wear. For example -- tht thing she wore? I couldn't wear it to work, right? So don't wear it on tv.

Meh. I bet the producers made them say it. A friend was a producer on Joe Millionaire back in the day and still works in reality tv; he says lots of stuff that is said is pushed by the producers.

I was part of a "reality" show a few years ago and can confirm that things we said on camera were definitely suggested by the director, and their creative editing made things look different than REALity.

Yes, but these are mature adults who do not have to follow screen direction. Remember when Ellen refused to drink from the champagne bottle on the pickleball court? There was another woman who refused as well.
