Why do celebrities use surrogates so much?

Anonymous
I know they want to look good all the time and don't want to destroy their figure (either natural or plastic surgeon made) but it's getting ridiculous. All of them use surrogates even when they are still of age of conceiving (30's to 40's). Even Elon musk's girlfriends used surrogates to conceive, amber heard, kim k, paris hilton, etc. Possibly even Janet jackson who conceived at 50 though everyone saw her with a bump.

I understand for actresses and singers because being pregnant and post partum can interfere with your career. Socialites I've always figured it was either vanity or infertility issues that they didn't want to disclose.

Vain and horrible people.

Selfishness is the most common medical condition among vain people. They have means to make other people carry and raise their children while they get to play parents at their convenience. They want to look young and pretty so avoid damage caused by pregnancy and birth and as most of their relationships/marriages fail within years so probably they want untainted body for next partner.

Age is also a common factor.

Unlike DCUM's popular belief, having children past biological fertility window of 15-35 is often a very complicated struggle.

Not often, it’s only a struggle for the medically incompetent.

Socialites have enough money to have children during 18-24, recovery fast and get back to their life. Why wait until 36?

Not true. The women mentioned in the op are under 40.

Makes sense, especially if they’re worried about being employable after 35/40. If you have a short career window, do you really want to miss out on 1-3 years of work?

My hot Take. Being pregnant doesn’t make you a better or more of a mom. If they can afford it and another woman wants to take advantage of that and receive compensation for “a job” why would anyone else care. The kid is the same.

This is like everything else. Those who made a different decision for whatever reason just to find blame and reason for someone doing it another way, usually just way to make themselves feel better with their own choice.

- SAHM think they’re better than those tgat WOH And use childcare
- People who clean their own house Think they are better than people who get their house cleaned
- Women who have have natural childbirth, think that people who are drugged
- People who struggle with their weight and weightloss think they are better than people who have weight loss, surgery or drugs

Even some “Normal” women not in the spotlight fear putting their careers and education on hold to settle down and have kids. A few that i know regretted their decision later in life, as they ended up with no kids or fertility issues or having kids much much later in life.

I’m sure ifsurrogacy was more affordable and more accepted and more assessible, this would be an valid option for a lot more of us
