Broccoli - how many syllables? Where are you from?

Anonymous
Settle a debate: Is "broccoli" 2 syllables, or 3? And where did you grow up?

(I say 3 syllables, grew up in New England but with immigrant parents for whom English was not a first language)

It's three syllables officially and I grew up in NY with NY parents. But I often say "brockly" which is obviously two (and that's wrong).

Question for 2-syllable people. What others words do you know of that have a silent "o" in the middle of a word?

I just said it out loud. I made the mouth movements for three, but it kind of sounded like two.
