Advisory

It’s a waste of time. Principals should be dedicating time to this time to after school activities. They wont bc that’d require having a brain

Students who need help understanding or extra time on assignments go to their teachers during Advisory.

Teachers should evaluate and oust principals when they are dissatisfied and unsupported. Not the other way around. With the current dynamic their seems to be a conflict of interest that leads to grade inflation; data manipulation, and holding bad student behavior over teachers heads like we created cell phones and face tatoos.

Again? Given the teacher shortages, had you been competent you'd still have a job.

Hey Karen, thanks for showing the readers of these forums how people with no sympathy or support for teachers gaslight teachers. You truly have no shame but probably a fat admin paycheck. How may careers have you stifled and how many teachers have you gaslit and run out of the profession for your own gains. That's the big question.

Advisory would be a great opportunity to teach kids study and organizational skills and strategies. As it is now it is a huge waste of time.

There's not a teacher shortage. There is a shortage of respect, support, and funding for the profession. But there is a surplus of conniving karens like yourself karen.

Why do you look down at teachers with such disdain?

You do know moco has a culture of harassment right. It's been all over the news. Have you been living under a rock. Your lack of respect for teachers is exactly why no one wants to teach. They know the whole system is making g up numbers to appease corrupt admin who get paid inflated salaries for blaming teachers. Read a book once in a while will ya. Ha. You karens crack me up.

We’re not in MCPS but…isn’t advisory just homeroom?

It is. 45 wasted minutes. After school activities could be done during “home room”. Instead, kids just sit and stare. It could absolutely be repurposed but that would require admin to be innovative. Let’s be real, we’re not dealing w the best or brightest in MCPS.

Wow. Our kids’ advisory is 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the afternoon.
