Why do you have to come at me like that? You obviously had a bad day at work would you like to talk about it?

After helping DC who was sick for 10 days and throwing up regularly, they told me how I need to leave them alone. This is after literally demanding stuff from me every 2 minutes while I was working.

“This is why I’m going to hate you when I grow up and never talk to you “

She's 20 now, so I guess I have all the teen info I'll ever get. She never really said mean things to me, just about life. The closest she got was, she had a friend she thought was really cool. The friend thought of herself as very cool also, but really was a girl who was perpetually stoned or buzzed if not drunk, always hooking up with different guys and cheating on anyone who thought he was her boyfriend, etc.

And DD said to me that the friend had always said I was square (I honestly didn't even know she knew that term) but after she'd pulled away from the friend she realized that I'm not. I wasn't hurt or offended though - I think the friend thought I was a loser for not partying or something.

You don’t have to take these things, you realize. Why do you accept mean things said to you just because they’re a teenager? Unacceptable at any age.
