We are trying to finally get boys volleyball to be a varsity sport next fall. Please help us get this through the school board by filling out the form below. This information will be shared with Dr. Reid in November.

| Just tell your kid to identify as a girl then they can play volleyball. |
| Boys already have football. What are you adding to balance volleyball for girls? Title IX is still a thing |
You could get rid of Freshman football that at my kids' FCPS high school is very difficult to find kids to play, and replace it with both Varsity and JV volleyball without increasing the number of boy sport slots. |
There is cheerleading and field hockey. Volleyball is the only coed sport where only girls can play. Volleyball is a boys sports elsewhere in the state and country. |
My son would absolutely try out for a volleyball team, but I don't feel comfortable putting his student ID into a form run by some unknown group. |
+1. These parents and kids have been going to meeting after meeting about this with no comments about the Title IX issue. |
Can you fill it out without the id? I would just put xxxxxx and submit. I think they need names. |
I’m not familiar with Title IX but when looking at the list of fall sports, there are more girl sports than boy sports. |
Number of sports isn't the issue, it's the number of slots and the funding. Football is both huge and expensive |
& field hockeys is a boys sport in most places in the world |
| The real agenda of those promoting boys volleyball is to replace football with volleyball, but they don't want to deal with the pushback. |
No one is trying to replace football. These boys already play volleyball. They are trying to make it an official varsity sport. |
Something would have to be cut. Right now, there is balance between boys and girls sports in terms of number of slots available and in terms of budget. Adding another boys sport means something gets cut or you find another girls sport to make varsity |
I don’t know why these people don’t get it. They keep pushing this issue when there is a reason for it to be like it is. And with all the more important issues out there, it’s crazy that they keep taking up meeting time and high level staff time with this issue. |
