| I really sound like an old grouchy person, but I’m not. I really like kids and Halloween is my favorite holiday. I am shocked at how many rude kids have come by my house trying and actually yanking the bowl of candy away from me. |
| Zip code? |
| Happy to report that all kids in AU park have been adorable and polite. Even complimenting the decorations, which are old school and homey |
Op here and it doesn’t matter. Past years I have had super sweet, cute and polite kids like you, PP. Maybe it’s just a streak of bad luck. |
Apples falling far away from the tree. |
| The problem is usually unsupervised kids. I usually leave a whole bowl out and one crappy 12 year old usually dumps the whole thing into their bag before the end of the night. |
| Are you giving out raisins? |
Or maybe it’s the zip code? I’d blame the parents. The only time in the last 25 years I’ve had a “rude” kid it was a 5 year old boy who literally shoved both hands in the candy bowl and took heaping fistfuls of candy as his mother gasped in horror and apologized profusely while admonishing him. I couldn’t stop laughing because it was shocking and hilarious. I could hear the kid say to his mother as she dragged him away, “But she had Kit Kats and they’re my favorite!” |
| 20853. Impressively polite children. |
All polite in 22015, too (except the really tiny one who was too terrified to do anything, lol). |
Also in 20853 - very polite, just surprised there aren’t more of them! |
And yet, you still keep doing it! SMH. |
| 20007/20016 area. Fine young people. Well mannered. Creative costumes. |

Just got a boy who looked maybe 3.5 or 4 years old. English wasn’t his first language, but he knew how to say “more.” He ended up taking two dozen pieces of chocolate. He was sooooo adorable!
That adorable little boy made my night! |
Do not candy shame me |
