| For big kids who are finished potty training but might rarely still have an accident would you opt to have them wear a diaper for trick or treating? |
| No, diapers only for naps and overnight. Bring a change of clothes and push for the potty before. If they dont go potty before ToT, then a pull up is ok. |
| Halloween is a special occasion. As long as it’s just as a precaution I don’t see any problem with it. |
| No, I'd during them home and potty them. |
| I’d have them go pee first and then not spend too much time Trick or Treating. They should be fine for an hour, right? |
How big? What age? |
| I’ve seen parents with elementary age children who still use pull-ups when they are doing anything where finding a bathroom might be an issue. Kids usually are fine but every once in a while accidents do happen. |
| My god, how long to do you plan to have your non potty trained toddler out? |
| That’s a no |
| I carry a travel potty in a backpack. Pretty small and we rarely need it |
This. The year my kid was potty training, we probably spent 15 minutes going to a few houses on our block and then went home. Not because of potty training, just because that's about what a 2 or just-turned 3 year old can handle on Halloween. Plus I wasn't interested in acquiring a bunch of candy for a kid that age either. At that age, Halloween is just an excuse to put them in a cute costume and take a picture, maybe do a costume parade at daycare. |
This is a circuitous and tedious way of answering “Yes” to OP’s question. |
| How long are you out trick or treating? |
What!? While you were trick-or-treating? So bizarre. |
| I’m just dying laughing. Thinking about these mothers thinking It’s OK to whip out their portable toilet and the neighbors driveway. Just so their kid can stay out later trick-or-treating. |
