Please share what protein bars you love most. Looking for something lower carb, gluten free and doesn’t taste horrible but good protein/filling. I typically eat RX Bars but they are pretty high in calories so looking for an alternative. |
GO Macro oatmeal chocolate chip
Built PUFF (I don’t like the regular ones) or Barebells Cookies and Cream for chocolate ones |
I like Kind bars especially chocolate peanut butter |
I love the Go macro bars, they taste great and sit well in my stomach. The sugar content isn't insane either. I like the blueberry cashew one and the coconut chocolate chip, but I usually just get the cheapest 12 pack flavor on Amazon. Goes great with my morning coffee and seems to stick with me! |
You are looking for a unicorn. You aren’t going to find a protein bar for under 200 calories. Perhaps if it is filled with sugar alcohols or chicory root and such. But you won’t find one made of natural ingredients and real foods, which in guessing it what you want? |
I like the Kind minis. |
Quest hero bars
Think! Keto chocolate mousse pie |
kind bars are tasty but don't really count at protein bars a the proportion of protein to calories is not very good. To tell if something is a good source of protein take the grams of protein and multiply by 10. This value should be close to or higher than the total calories. |
Most of the bars listed should be called carb bars, not protein bars as they are quite high in carbs while too low in protein
The only one on the list thus far that I agree with are Think Bars and Quest bars. I also like Aloha bars, while a little higher in carbs their protein is also high as well as fiber. |
just pull out a pouch of tuna, and shake that baby into your mouth. 70 calories, all protein.
Bars are ultraprocessed. |
+1 And Built Puff bars (the puff chunk ones are good too) |
This. Or nuts or salami. |
Perfect bar. Peanut butter. |
Kirkland protein bars. They are much less expensive than other ones we’ve tried and taste a lot better.

I like the Kind Madagascar vanilla bars as a good snack (only 2 grams added sugar), but I just eat eggs, peanuts or cold chicken or something if I feel like I need more protein. |
