| We are considering the name Neve for our daughter. We are wondering what people think of it. Thank you for your feedback. |

I love it if you are Anglicizing the the Irish name Niamh and pronouncing it Neev.
If you are pronouncing it Nev, as Neve Campbell pronounces her name, I'm not a fan. |
| Like Neeeee-v (Niamh)? Lovely for a winter baby. |
We would be pronouncing it like Neev. |
Exactly! I love the Irish spelling, but know people would absolutely butcher it. |
| I love it - elegant and understated |
| I love it. It’s such an underused name. Go for it! |
| I love it and actually like both pronunciations. |

I like it when it’s pronounced like Neve Campbell.
It’s a lovely babe for a winter baby—it means snow in several languages. |
| It's beautiful - and she will constantly be telling people how to pronounce it. You may or may not care. |
I think some millennials may default to Neve (Campbell), but the spelling matches the phonetic pronunciation, so most would say it correctly. Especially after an initial correction, if necessary. |
| I’ve always loved this name. It was on our list, but it seemed like a bold choice at the time. We went with something more traditional. I’m actually (pleasantly) surprised by the love it’s receiving on here. |
| I think it’s ugly sounding. |
| You’re having a boy? |
The spelling doesn’t match at all. If you want it pronounced Neev you should spell it that way. Neve is not going to get you Neev any more than Niamh. At least that spelling signals it’s a cultural name so pronunciation is not intuitive. |
