But people can also be held accountable for their speech.

Do I understand correctly? A billionaire CEO is indignant that some students said things he disagrees with. In part because he erroneously believes pro-Palestinian means pro-Hamas. So he wants Harvard to give up their names.

I am definitely not in support of Hamas but at this point I really don't understand what more we can ask for from the Middle East..... Centuries of fighting have gotten us nowhere and I don't see any solution on the horizon.... It is sad for both Palestinians and Israelis, but until they can come up with a solution to peacefully coexist, I really think the US needs to stay the hell out of it

Okay then having their names published as supporters should be no problem. Related, why do you think that SJP and DSA rallies are telling people to cover their faces? Its because they know their cause and solidarity with terrorists is morally bankrupt.

But when you sign a letter in support of something, you don't expect to be held accountable for your support? You can make an argument for the rank and file members of these groups not being responsible, but surely the leadership can be judged for this decision.

If they signed the letter, can't Ackman just read the signed names? And surely the leadership of a student group isn't hard to figure out. It seems like he wants a list of the members of the groups whether or not they signed the letter.

So it is okay for Benjamin Netanyahu to support Hamas but American citizens are not allowed to voice support for Palestinians and must be punished? Maybe you should remove the terrorist supporters from your own house before going on jihad against people who do not support Israel?

I don't think hes literally requesting a spreadsheet with all the names of their members.
He's making a point that the people who signed it need to be held accountable for their public statements.
