I hope it doesn’t happen but in my gut I feel that it is coming.
The High inflation in the last few years have made people miserable and I can tell from my personal circles many people regret voting for Biden. How are you all preparing for if trump is re-elected? |
I live in Ohio.
No one in my circle regrets voting for Biden. Signed, Real American |
"high inflation" You realize it is higher everywhere else in the world, right? |
+1. I live in Maine. No one in my circle regrets voting for Biden. |
No one I know regrets voting for Biden over Trump. |
I’m with you OP. Despite wishful thinking I’ve got a feeling Biden isn’t going to win this.
I’d like to claim some dramatic ultimatum, like leaving the country to take up a new life somewhere saner. But who am I kidding? At my age I’m not going anywhere. I’ll probably just hunker down & read escapist books. Maybe get some firearms training. |
Cheer up. Many of us still don’t believe Biden “won” in 2020, but look at him now!! Lucky us. Not. |
I’m making sure that people understand that what they’re hearing is “high inflation “ is really including extremely high corporate profits. Most already realize that corporate profits are championed by Republicans. In my personal circles, no one regrets voting for Biden over Trump, although some do wish that voting for Elizabeth Warren had been a realistic option. As to “miserable “ — so many people in my circles were made miserable by having a racist like Trump, with clear mental and emotional challenges as Commander in Chief. That prospect far overshadows the genuine challenges of inflation, which is actually lower than the inflation rates in many other countries. They also get — see my first point — that having a Republican President is highly correlated with problematic economic outcomes for most people and businesses not in the top 1 - 10 percent. They — and I — will vote accordingly, no matter how much the Trump-bots post. |
Yeah. Cause people just love being miserable. OP do you even recognize the ironic stupidity of your question? |
Oh thank god for this explanation. I’ll remember that the next time I pay $300 to feed my family for 4 days, or $65 to gas up my car. |
OMG - ! I am moving to Canada. Or Europe. |
I live in NoVA. Everyone in my circle regrets voting for Biden. Signed, Another Real American ![]() ![]() |
MAGAs are so funny. |
You’ll find the inflation much worse there. |
I'm European living here on a visa. I don't get to choose who leads this country, but I did notice that Trump nearly went to war against nuclear-powered North Korea (his aide purloined the order from his desk before he could sign it), that he proposed a Covid light therapy solution, and that the Jan 6th peaceful tourist incursion into the Capitol also included death, feces and a gallows.
I really do not believe Trump Unchained is what the majority of Americans want. The problem is that they are loyal to their party, to a fault. So the real problem with America, as I see it, is that you only have two parties. You need several major parties, who can create ruling coalitions so the electorate can actually vote for their beliefs and not feel a slight twinge of regret about putting an incompetent authoritarian, or a sandbag-challenged senior, in power. Because let's face it. If there were several left-wing parties, Biden wouldn't stand a chance either. He's way too old and bumbling. He's on the side of the angels, of course. But there comes a point when all the heavenly host can help you. |
