Do you feel like you look different when you lose 5 lbs?

It’s definitely a victory but my clothes feel just a little different and I don’t think I really look any different. I guess my expectations were not realistic!

Yes but I have a small frame so I think small weight fluctuations are more noticeable on me. It's probably more noticeable when I gain 5 lbs too.

If you’re in the healthy weight range you’ll probably notice it. If you’re overweight or obese, it’s normal fluctuation and won’t be visible.

I'm obese. I've lost 25 pounds recently and it isn't even close to noticeable.

No, but I’m tall.

I am slim and petite and I don't notice 5 pounds. It's really not all that much.

Same. It really shows in my face now that I’m middle aged.

Yes, and the reverse when I gain too... also my jeans/pants fit differently, but I'm petite so it's more noticeable.

In a bad way or a good way?

Me, too. It shows in my face- I don’t notice it elsewhere, though.

Yes. I’m 5’1” and it absolutely shows. I gain mostly at my stomach, 5 lbs means pants fits at the waist or they don’t.

I'm 5'4", 118lbs, and my mother and husband notice when I lose 5 lbs. I don't notice when I look at myself in the mirror, but my clothes don't fit as well.

I actually do not know how women slimmer than me find clothes. I bought an XS skirt at Anthro and like most things I buy in that quality range, had to take it in. My oldest pair of pants is from 20 years ago, and it's marked size 4. Yet back then, I was probably 110lbs at most. And now, I buy size 0-2. Do others shop in the teen section???

Yes. I’m short. 5 pounds would please me very much.

Same. I either have a chubby face or a skinny face that looks more haggard. Boo. Getting older is the pits.

I might feel different with 5 lbs but definitely don't look different. I've recently lost 30 lbs and have only dropped one size (although from a tight 12 to a loose 10 so maybe a size and a half). I am aiming to lose another 5 lbs, which should put me in an 8 but I don't think will look much different. I an 5'9" so that makes a difference in how I carry weight.
