She’s a lawyers dream. Although I think it’s borderline unethical when lawyers take cases like hers |
Doesn’t make sense as a boss move because the documents would have been protected under AEO. There’s only three types of damages, economic, noneconomic, and punitive, and she’s voluntarily dismissing one of the three. Ron Zambrano was on popcorned planet and he said Blake’s window for economic damages is very narrow because she won’t be able to sue for any losses to Blake brown etc that occurred after she filed the lawsuit, so she’s really limiting how much the jury can award by dismissing the emotional distress claims. |
+1. See how they never came back and addressed this? |
Agree. She has the world's worst attorneys. Didn't they explain ANYTHING to her on how this whole case would go down. |
I agree. That slam list is so pathetic. |
I was thinking about this case today. After over 700 pages, multiple news sources, sleuths, social media ferver, and all types of legal opinions flung around, it is STILL unclear if Lively was sexually harassed. |
I don't think they care. The Reynolds are wealthy public figures and they might not ever see this kind of pay or pedigree in their careers again. They're going to milk it for all it's worth and tell them what they want to hear. |
I am confused on whats happening |
The headline seems wrong. The quote from her attorney in that article says they are "streamlining" their claims which supports that they are withdrawing some of them. That's also clear in emails that Wayfarer's attorneys put on the docket. The dispute is whether she is withdrawing them with or without prejudice. |

Pp yeah that’s my point. They saw a gravy train and took it, no matter the harm they should have seen coming. I know people who have had issues with employers/SH, similar in the workplace and gone to discuss their cases with legit employment lawyers (albeit not big law) and were given sober advice about how difficult and $ a case would be, ultimately dissuading them. The difference? These people weren’t super rich. Blake’s lawyers saw a gold mine and took it |
As comments have echoed for hundreds of pages: Blake and Ryan are very stupid and they’re being scammed and milked by all these “experts” and attorneys around them. Leeches feasting on two has-beens. |
I actually think this is karmic. Being fed misinformation by the people you hired to try to take down an innocent man and believing you had a solid case only for it all to blow up in the end and ruin you in return. Sounds like the universe in action. Stay tuned. |
I used to work at Willkie. I’m not saying they have a good case here, but they handle RR’s commercial work/investments and I assume took this case (1) to preserve that relationship and (2) obviously because it’s lucrative. But I think they are deferring to them to the point that they’re doing some dumb stuff because of (1). |
It has been obvious for months that all of this litigation back and forth, PR planted stories, and the shills, bots and astroturfing was pointless theater. All of that costs millions of dollars.
The public made up their minds months ago, so Blake and Ryan’s desperate tactics are futile. It’s just stalling the inevitable — a fat settlement will be paid by the two scammers, Blake and Ryan, for cooking up this evil scheme. |
