Why is it your business if she can support the kids?

Did you expect someone to know what you were referring to? Maybe you should post there instead of here.

Wait, is it OPs business if she can't support the kids? Arguably nobody is supporting 9 kids well. Those kids are missing out on a lot of individual attention from the parents and then you end up with a Duggar buddy system where the older kids raise the younger.

I just never thought that someone deeply religious would even consider IVF. I also don't know if God's will is for you to stop having kids why would you pursue IVF? But also, sounds very dangerous. Like we need religious fanatics to have more and more even beyond their biological capabilities.

Religion says whatever you want. That's the beauty and attraction of it. Instant justification for whatever you want to be true.

Well, I’m from a family that size and my parents provided for us just fine on a middle class income and a lot of hand me downs, public school, public libraries, and camping vacations. But my parents would also say that is utterly crazy. And while everyone is free to make the decisions they want, it seems tone deaf for this couple to be in an infertility support group. It definitely makes them seem like a naecissist if they can’t see that. It reminds me a little of something Hilario Baldwin would do.

Perhaps they have banked embryos and have to go through the prep protocols?

I'm firmly in the MYOB camp, but I totally understand raised eyebrows for having/wanting 9 kids - no matter the method!!

Sounds like mental health issues. People that get addicted to having a new baby and all of the attention that goes with pregnancy and infancy.

No judgement for wanting a 9th kid (who says they are even religious), but I totally agree it is wildly inappropriate to be in an infertility support group. I have secondary infertility and avoid such groups because I feel even that would be insensitive.

+1. Who is in charge of this group? They need to talk to this person.

Well, that was a leap. How do you get that the person is deeply religious?
