They still look pretty cozy on Tina's IG, and she mentioned that they met "almost five years ago", so it seems like maybe they met before Brandon and Jen split, but definitely before their divorce was final. |
| Tina definitely posted a long gushy thing about Brandon on Valentine's. They seem to still be doing fine! |
| That is interesting she admits they 'fell in love in this exact spot almost 5 years ago'... Jen and Brandon were still married then |

Jen's new book looks super boooooooring.
And totally predictable. |
It has been “almost” 5 years. If you look at Jen’s June 2020 post she states “navigating a crisis” which is when and about the time she caught him having an affair. I think we’ve all established that the affairs was with a much younger woman. Im assuming shortly after he was caught is when he met Tina. Speaking of Tina, let’s all pray for her once this book comes out. I cannot even begin to imagine how she will feel. She does have me blocked on instagram but I hear they are still smitten. |

"Awake". Her new book.
About midlife and being triumphant as a woman. Sort of like being "Untamed" (Glennon). About midlife and being triumphant as a woman. |
Another middle aged divorcee confessional rise from the ashes “tell all”? Has the world ever seen anything like this before? |
| My understanding, based on something I read elsewhere, was that the new book is going to be about "purity culture" and how damaging it was and is and why you should embrace and love your body and sexuality...or something like that. Has anyone else heard anything about that? |

Millions of women out there living truly courageous, successful, brilliant lives guided by true wisdom and grit and meanwhile halfwits like Jen Hatmaker are paid good money to publish idiotic pablum for the masses.
You want aspirational guidance find quietly competent, strong women with real track records of accomplishment and success. Not women like Jen Hatmaker. |

Looking at the cover of her book, I can't help but ask "Why do we need Jen Hatmaker's memoir?"
I already have two of her books that I pre-ordered, signed copies, that I haven't read!!!
|
| I love memoirs, they are my favorite type of book to read - but the thought of reading a JH memoir just makes me want to yawn and take a nap. |
Embrace how? With a man of questionable sexuality whom you don't see that often, have no chemistry with and not only won't claim you but actively posts himself as single? I'm sure the bed is just ablaze with passion! |
I look forward to the reviews from this forum more than the book itself. I read 2 or 3 of her Girl's Guide to Bible study, Interrupted, and Seven. Read portions of For the Love and Mess and Moxie. FFF I skimmed in Target and felt she was screaming at her reader. There was a hyper caffeinated chapter of Seven where she described her split personalities in dealing with consumerism and waste in the culture. I think most of her post-Seven books are majority that style of writing now. Her family stories were always told with affection and warmth, but now I wonder just how much of any of it was true. If the way she describes her grandfather is correct, he would have told Tyler to take a hike the minute she brought him to the picnic table. And NOT because he is black. |

It will be something along the lines of “Good girl gone naughty” or something equally cringe.
It will refer to her deconstruction and how edgy she is. Or some such drivel |
