Did wearing a fitness tracker change your daily exercise behavior for the better?

I know I'm going to be accused of being OCD or whatever, but I'm a tracking junkie. It's been so helpful.

I've been using an Oura ring for a few years. I wish I had tracked sleep decades ago. I wouldn't have gained weight if I had. Not only does it track my sleep, the Oura ring tells me when to take the day off when I haven't recovered from exercise and when I can go for optimal performance.

I use the FitBit Charge to track cardio fitness. I like the feedback I get about heart rate, HRV, VO2Max - I work really hard and like to see the results.

I did a glucose monitor for 3 months last year (Signos) to see how my body responded to certain foods - this was good feedback. I decided to ditch artificial sweeteners and take walks after meals.

I lift heavy weights and use an app to see my weight progression. I use runkeeper to see if my times are increasing. Myfitnesspal to track calories/protein and weight.

I've been on a several year health journey and this all has paid off. Feeling really good.

Yes. Always worked out but did not use a tracker until I won FitBit Versa at my gym. I starting tracking macros and exercise progress. I became consistent-working out 6 days a week and lost 30lbs.

Yes, the tracker is extremely helpful.
