Water bottles for lunchboxes

Anonymous
My kids’ Contigo water bottles need to be replaced. I went to see what’s available for kids’ water bottles that fit in lunchboxes and holy cow! $15 for one water bottle? I don’t need a yeti or one that refrigerates. I just need a water bottle that fits in a lunchbox and doesn’t leak. I feel like I bought a 2-pack at Costco for $10 before the pandemic. I know everything has gone up, but this seems silly for a kids’ water bottle. Did you find them cheaper anywhere? Thanks.

$15 for a water bottles seems pretty inexpensive and normal unless you want a to check out the dollar store

If you last bought water bottles 4 years ago, I think you can break down and spend the $15.

And yes, if you want it be that doesn’t leak, $15 is reasonable.

Or just buy a small bottle of Fiji water and refill it each day.

Why do you want it to fit in the lunchbox? I work in a school and the kids have it with them the whole day. Not just at lunch. We don’t even have water fountains, just bottle fillers and tiny paper cups for kids who forget.

We use a refillable juice box by Rubbermaid. It’s leakproof and fits inside the lunchbox.

These have worked perfectly for us. It was hard to find something that would fit nicely in the lunchboxes.

They bring one in the lunchbox and one in the backpack, which stays with them all day. I’m not sure why, but this seems to work for them.

Just curious. What did you finally get OP? My dd keeps losing hers if they are separated and I get it that it should go with the lunch box. My dd is also very hard on her water bottles and chews on the spout lots. Our thermos and camel bak didn’t last and the klean kanteen spout is chewed to shreds. Do I get a Fiji bottle and forget about it? She could chew the cap all she wants until she grows up?

Man, I buy a few water bottles a year because they get lost.
