She couldn't bother to send a thank you note for her wedding. I am done. |
Wut? |
How much did you give? |
When was the wedding? Etiquette says you have three months to send thank you notes. |
How long has it been? They have up to a year. I know people will be horrified if someone takes that long, but sometimes life is complicated and hard and you don't know what people go through to get those thank you notes out.
And honestly, if it never comes, let it go. It's a dumb reason to write someone off forever. I might have been lost in the mail! |
I am not writing her off. I am just never giving her another gift. |
So answer the question -- when was the wedding? |
You have a year to send a gift after a wedding, not a year to say thank you. Also-that rule comes from an era long before online shopping/shipping. |
THE HORROR |
You're an a$hhole. |
Did you give her enough to buy a house or something? |
You sound unhinged. She may not even care to get another gift from you. How long has it been since the wedding? |
No, not enough to by a house, but I thought it was generous. I gave them $1000. |
It is rude but I wouldn't stop giving gifts over it. I'm just not one who gets overly bothered about these types of things. |
Ha this is true. I definitely have some family members that I'd rather never have to deal with again because of their behavior. |
