Are covid vaccine mandates still a thing in DC?

Specifically asking about Catholic high schools in DC. Thanks.

You're going to need to call up the schools you are interested in and ask. There is no one standard that every school follows.

As far as I know the ADW never required it, our K-8 only asked us to voluntarily upload our COVID vaccine card to expedite a return to school after a positive test. It’s also not on the required immunization form.

St Johns asks for it...not sure if it's required though.

It will be interesting if those that do, continue to require it as kids who weren't eligible due to age become school age, kids who lived where it wasn't required move into DC and as vaccines become less available.

BVR just announced C-19 not required this year. Relieved!

I’m guessing not when it comes to all healthcare decisions though.

NP. I would say that the health of a future baby is of primary concern, so yes, this is consistent.

I don't think it ever was a "mandate." At our Catholic school it is expected, but as with other vaccines, you can get a waiver. I learned that only 3 students asked for waivers, so it seems like a non issue.

Generally, people who don't want the vaccine may be vocal, but the vast majority get it and don't see a need to discuss it any more than other vaccinations.
