| If they can sort out the toxic waste issues, this site would seem to be a much better option than RFK: https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/investigations/commanders-stadium/washington-commanders-stadium-search-rfk-dc-location-poplar-point-virginia-maryland/65-bcee48b2-b0e5-4b6f-b12a-22eb6c26696f |

Ugh no. Not in DC.
Let some other suckers pay a billionaire for a stadium that gets used 10-20 days a year. |
| I was initially adamantly opposed to the idea of a stadium in DC, but the Poplar Point makes some sense. If you combined it with a project to bury at least a portion of the Anacostia Freeway and put in a proper riverfront, it could completely transform EOTR. |

Never gonna happen in DC
|
| Isn't that the DC United plan that Fenty reneged upon? |
|
The better solution is to build an urban 60-70k seat stadium within a new grid at Hill East with no surface parking areas.
DC should only pay for the infrastructure, which it would do without a stadium, and the Harris Group should pay for the rest. |
| Bowser is dying for this giveaway so nothing anyone says against at will matter. |
| You're all going to be taking Uber to the new stadium in Ashburn. |
| DC does not want a football stadium. |
She is, for some bizarre reason, but I hope she can still be stopped. |
| I’d be put down solid money that they end up building it at Poplar Point (across the Anacostia from Nationals Park). Ward 8 needs something massive and this could be it. |
100% this is her sick dream. |
| That's currently all park-type area. My biggest concern, apart from loss of waterfront park would be the traffic. If they can ensure primary game-day traffic is well managed and routed primarily on 295/395 then maybe. They definitely dropped the ball with Audi Field on traffic management and logistics. Big international games at Audi DC are a complete nightmare in SWDC and if there were an emergency and ambulances or fire equipment needed to get in, forget about it. |
Ward 8 needs some places to buy fresh vegetables, not a cavernous crime-enticing vacant lot for all but 10 weekends a year. |
