Would I bet a candidate for ozempic?

I eat fairly healthy and I’m about 135 lbs/5’4, work out doing barre daily but don’t ever seen to really lose weight.
I’m probably about 7-10 lbs from where I want to be and I don’t think it’s really possible unless I’ve very restrictive. Would it make sense to go on ozempic for a few months?

Absolutely not. First, your BMI is in the healthy range. Second, it’s not for losing a few pounds. Third, even if you were to take it and lose some weight, you’d likely gain it right after stopping it. Fourth, it’s to treat diabetes. Unless you have very high A1C numbers, you’re neither prediabetic nor diabetic. I’m on it for diabetes and expect to take this the rest of my life.

Either be happy at the weight you are at now or keep working at it.

Um, no! It's for diabetes, not for people who need to lose 7-10 pounds. Barre will not help you lose that much weight. You also need to reduce caloric intake. Duh! Ozempic is also about $1000/month. Join a gym instead.

There are lots of women on it at that weight. You can get it from a telemed service if you want. You'll have to pay full price or get the compounded stuff.

Im in the same position and dont think its worth the side effects.

It’d be incredibly stupid for you to take it. It’s not an easy quick little “last ten pounds” fix. Please do some research in a medically accurate publication, not social media

Run a few miles a few times/week or go for long walks and start lifting weights if you must lose those unnecessary 7-10 lbs. You aren’t overweight and you can easily do more physically to accomplish your goals. ppl like you don’t need Ozempic.

All of this. I’ve chosen not to take it, but I don’t judge anyone who uses it to lose the vanity weight. If you want it, you can get it.

How does it feel for your biggest problem to be vain about 5-10 pounds, which are in the range of normal for your height? It must be a dream. If you experience like I experience having a special needs child and also fighting cancer, then you need some perspective. Even I'm not taking my situation too hard and I have an end date. If you want to lose weight, find out you have cancer.

No. One month of phentermine would probably be enough.

Most people on GLPs have underlying health conditions like heart disease or sleep apnea

No judgement except that doctors over prescribed it for vanity pounds and now people with heart disease, sleep apnea, prior stroke and heart attacks can’t get their prescription filled. So while I’m all for it generally, it caused a shortage for those with real risks. And yes, it’s more important that they have it than someone 7 pounds over their goal weight.

I fully judge anyone who would take it at that weight. Short-sighted and stupid. Let’s talk to these morons in 5 years when they are either hooked forever or have ballooned to an actual problem because they messed up their systems. If you need it, great. If you do it for vanity, you reap what you sow.

Do you have diabetes? Then NO! For crying out loud use Wegovy, so I can get my medication.

What? At 5’4” and 135? Of course not.

Is this some kind of anti-weight loss drug troll post meant to make people think that the majority of users are using it frivolously?

I’m surprised you’re still having trouble. I haven’t had a problem filling my Ozempic prescription in months. In DC, and using CVS.

What? No.

You need a BMI in the obese range to be prescribed Ozempic for weight loss. Or a BMI in the overweight range with a comorbid health condition like high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.
