| MY DD is 15 and will be going to camp on Monday. in the past 3 weeks school was out, she would stay up till 5am and not wake till noon. she said she wasn't felling well yesterday because she went to bed at 2:30am (early)... At least she will be at camp for the next few weeks, then we have a beach trip, and RV trip, and a few weeks aftrer school will start. If your DC isn't attending camp or school are they doing anything besiding eating and ordering food at night ? |

Ordering food? Oh hell to the no. How is that getting paid for?

My 15 year old is on swim team; so has been doing practices, coaching the little swimmers, and babysitting.
Definitely wouldn't be up for weeks of that schedule, 5am??? |
| Going to camp will correct this issue right quick. |
We allow her to spend up to $60 a week in food. |
| In charge of cleaning one bathroom. Also, vacuums and dusts. Lots of lounging and friends. |
She’s does clean around the house but still |
|
My kids are 18 and 16. Phones are hung up at midnight and they go to sleep. Sleep hygiene is so important.
I just don’t understand families where there are no rules around phone use, etc. |
That’s absolutely ridiculous, and I am judging you. I have a 17 year old. She gets $68 a MONTH (her age x 4) to spend on socializing, going out, etc. We have plenty of food at home and will happily purchase items she requests from the grocery store. If you don’t want her ordering food in the middle of the night, cut off the funding. |
| My twins are 15. They both have jobs at our pool, they have 2 sports practices a week, and they are working towards their driver’s licenses. If they would stay up until 5 they would be exhausted. It sounds like camp will set your child straight. |
| Your child should have chores and $60 a week for food is ridiculous. |
| No, because we are the parents. OMG. |
| My DD15 has a job on the weekends and is taking online PE during the week. Both were her idea. The busier she is the better. |
| $240/month allowance for takeout, no job, terrible sleep hygiene. Poor kid. She needs you to do better than this. |
| 15 isn’t really even a “older teen.” My almost-15 year old doesn’t have a whole lot going on this summer—online PE, music lessons, working on her hobby—but hell no would I be ok with her staying up all night ordering take-out. Really bizarre. |
