As the parent of an African American daughter, no way. Horrible - too many stories. |
| Hate to tell you this, but there is one of those for everyschool, pubic and private. |
| The thing to look at is how the school ahs responded to the concerns of students and alumnae. |
|
I get all my news about a school from anonymous instagram posts too!
Just looking at the first post that comes up, it states the new lower school head is black. That must've been written a few years ago as the current LS head has been there a while, and she's white (and lesbian). |
| This seems to have one of the higher number of posts when comparing to other schools. Can't get a read on what the current vibe is like though. |
| LOL if you think this isn't true at every private to some degree. Also a lot of these are a stretch. Come on. |
| Oh okay. Where will you send your kids to completely shelter them from any micro-aggression? |
| Now do Black at Ballou. |
These posts from 2020 seemed to be a needed wakeup call for the school. You can view all of the work the school has done (and plans to do) since then on their website: https://www.holton-arms.edu/about/diversity It's definitely not perfect (no school is), but at least they are working on it in a meaningful way. |
| Oh goody. Now dcum topics are written like buzz feed clickbait. Have the bots arrived, or are humans becoming even more insufferable? |
+1. Please don’t feed the troll. |
| We are with you OP! Holton is a huge mistake. |
| ooh, do Black At Maret. Very sad. |
| no way to verify these and its all woke propaganda |
| what is funny is a lot of those are complaining about affirmative action in college admissions, now that doesn't exist I think we can delete a lot of these insta complaints. |
